Anfernee Simons rallies Trail Blazers to 106-105 win over Clippers with 25-point performance

Anfernee Simons scored 25 points, Deandre Ayton h 15 points and 12 rebounds and Portland Trail Blazers rallied to beat Los Angeles Clippers 106-105 on Wednesday night.

Deni Avdija h 13 points and 10 rebounds and me a game-saving block when he stuffed Norman Powell on a fast break with 29 seconds remaining to preserve a one-point le.

Scoot Henderson ded 14 points and Toumani Camara h 12 points for Portland, which trailed entire fourth quarter until Simons me a go-ahe layup with 2:44 remaining.

Powell h 30 points and James Harden h 19 points and 10 assists for Clippers. Los Angeles me only one field goal and scored just three points and in final 3:30 of game.

Trail Blazers: Simons came up big again and again in fourth quarter for Portland. On consecutive possessions, he drove for a layup to tie score at 99, hit a 3-pointer to tie score again at 102 and followed with go-ahe layup to put m up for good.

Clippers: Los Angeles went ice cold down stretch. After taking a 102-99 le on a 3-pointer by Harden with 3:35 remaining, y turned ball over twice, h a pair of shots blocked and went 1 for 4 on free throws to let game slip away.

Ivica Zubac stepped to line with Clippers down 106-105 and 1:20 remaining, but he missed both free throws. Clippers never got anor shot up.

Ayton has recorded a double-double in all five games this season.

Trail Blazers host Thunder on Friday, while Clippers continue ir five-game homestand against Suns on Thursday.
