Carmelo Anthony joining Trail Blazers

Anthony will be joining Portland after agreeing to a non-guaranteed deal with the team. The Trail Blazers are giving him a chance out of desperation after starting the year 4-8 (win-loss record) despite consistent performances by Damian Lillard. The 10-time All-Star was a free agent for most of last season and was traded by Houston Rockets to Chicago Bulls last January, but he was waived on February 1. Anthony is expected to make his debut with the Blazers when they travel to New Orleans Pelicans.

Carmelo Anthony on Jamal Crawford

While Anthony is all set to take the court this season, he is shocked that Jamal Crawford is yet to find a team for himself this season. Crawford, a 20-year-old veteran, scored 50 points in a match last season as a member of the Phoenix Suns. His career average is 14.6 points and 3.4 assists per game. The 39-year-old is also an all-time leader in four-point plays in the NBA.
