Chris Paul trade: Bucks, Sixers and four morre teams interested in acquiring OKC star?

Chris Paul trade: Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks are among six NBA teams interested in the OKC Thunder star.

As OKC Thunder were eliminated from NBA bubble after a seven-game series with Houston Rockets, reports have been hinting at a possible Chris Paul trade. While Milwaukee Bucks are reported to be a frontrunner, re are five or teams interested in acquiring Thunder star. As of w, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, NY Knicks, Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns are five or teams looking to acquire Paul.

NBA trade rumours: Will re be a Chris Paul trade?

CP3 to Bucks

According to  New York Times' Marc Stein, Bucks are expected to try to acquire Chris Paul, mostly to prevent Giannis from signing with ar team. However, Stein did mention that re might be several financial complications even if Oklahoma City Thunder make Paul available for trade. Bucks, however, might t be able to afford Paul and would have to trade someone like Khris Middleton. Middleton is currently signed to a $178 million worth, 5-year deal with Bucks.

CP3 to Sixers

As per Ringer's Kevin O'Conr, 76ers have "seriously debated" adding Paul to ir roster, especially after ir 4-0 sweep against Boston Celtics during playoffs. 76ers are apparently still interested in acquiring Paul. 76ers could trade Tobias Harris and some or players along with a future first-round pick.

Apart from Bucks and 76ers, Heavy.com's Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson linked Mavericks, Knicks, Jazz and Suns to Paul. Reports added that Knicks have already lined up an offer, maybe looking to rebuild with Paul as ir centrepiece. Thunder also parted ways with ir head coach Billy Dovan and could be trying to rebuild.

Chris Paul contract

As per Forbes, Chris Paul will make $41.35 million for 2020-21 season. In 2021-22 season, Paul will have a $44.1 million player option available. Chris Paul had signed a $159.7 million worth, 4-year deal with Rockets in 2018. In January, Paul had stated that re was way he could opt out of a player option with Thunder. " chance. This season, Paul missed only two games for OKC, making it to NBA All-Star game for first time since 2015-2016 season. He averd 17.6 points and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from field.
