Chris Paul trade: According to recent reports, Oklahoma City Thunder are willing to trade Chris Paul to teams like the Phoenix Sun before the 2020-21 season.

Following Oklahoma City Thunder's exit from 2020 playoffs, reports hinted at a Chris Paul trade. 35-year-old veteran has been linked to multiple teams this season, along with, puzzlingly, reports that team is willing to sign veteran w. However, Thunder are apparently talking to Phoenix Suns, willing to discuss a trade before season begins.

Up until w, Paul has been linked to teams like New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks and even Los Angeles Lakers. However, ESPN's Brian Windhorst has reported that Thunder are apparently in talks with Phoenix Suns. Tim Bontemps of ESPN also stated that Oklahoma is willing to work with team Paul wants to sign for.
Reports have spoken about team wanting to rebuild, which could revolve around wanting to trade Paul. Knicks, who have sufficient cap , have reportedly made an offer for Paul. Bucks and 76ers have also shown interest. Lakers, who will need ar guard this season, could also aim for Paul. 10-time All-Star has reportedly spoken about playing for big teams in eir LA or New York.

However, Paul could be much more beneficial as a veteran for Suns with Devin Booker on ir roster. On or hand, if he signs with Bucks or Lakers, Paul could have a shot at bagging his first NBA title. This season, Suns' roster comprising of Booker, Deandre Ayton, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Mikal Bridges excelled in Orlando bubble but failed to make it to playoffs. With Paul to guide team, young talent could advance to postseason in 2021.

Chris Paul salary and contract
This upcoming season, Paul will make $41.4 million. following season, he will be given a $44.2 million player option. Paul led Thunder to postseason in 2019-20, averaging an impressive 17.6 points, 6.7 assists and 5 rebounds per game.
