Danny Green believes 'Basketball Gods' humbled Clippers for not playing the right way
During a recent interview, Los Angeles Lakers' Danny Green revealed that he thinks the LA Clippers were humbled by the Basketball Gods for the way they played.

With 2019-20 season concluded with Los Angeles Lakers as NBA 2020 Champions, audience did t get to see Lakers-LA Clippers showdown y were expecting. Despite ir trash talk while aiming for ring entire year, Clippers failed to make it to Western Conference Finals after blowing a 3-1 lead. After games, fans expressed ir disappointment on social media, unhappy that y did t even compete Lakers after countless promises. Apparently, Lakers guard Danny Green agrees.

Danny Green comments on Clippers roster
While on Real Ones Podcast with Raja Bell and Logan Murdock, Danny Green spoke about why Clippers were eliminated earlier than everybody expected. “I think basketball Gods will humble you if you don’t play game right way or do right thing,' Green said. He added that while everyone says "things into existence", one cant be as overconfident as it can "go opposite way".

Green was most likely referring to Clippers trash talk entire season, which Lakers returned. If Clippers bench and Patrick Beverley were reported to agitating opposition, Dwight Howard was seen trash-talking entire postseason. However, LeBron James kept his promise and led Lakers to ir first title since 2010.

While Green has blamed Clippers' loss on "basketball gods", reports and players have spoken about lack of chemistry and consistency. While Lakers had best Western Conference record in regular season, Clippers – with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George – were among top title contenders. Yet, Jamal Murray and Nuggets overcame 3-1 deficit.
Clippers faced a lot of criticism after y choked, with George's jersey being burned by fans. Till date, team is yet to make it to Conference Finals. Following ir loss, team parted ways with coach Doc Rivers, hiring Tyronn Lue to take his place.
