Danny Green's epic dunk for the Lakers against the Hawkers surprised the NBA so much that they drug tested the 32-year-old right after the game ended on Monday

Los Angeles Lakers star Danny Green threw down a rare dunk against Atlanta Hawks on Monday which shocked Lakers players and fans alike. Apparently, NBA mselves were quite surprised as y drug tested Green right after game.

When  Los Angeles Lakers added Danny Green in offseason, everyone praised move because of his versatility in defence and his championship experience. But Green's dunking ability wasn't much discussed as he's t exactly kwn as one of league's high-flyers. Dunks from Green have relatively been a rarity throughout his career. According to Basketball-Reference, he’s thrown down only 48 dunks since he entered league, an aver of 4.4 per season.

But on Monday, he delivered one of best dunks of season just days after his teammate scored a vicious dunk against Sacramento Kings. Late in second quarter, LeBron James put up a 3-pointer from wing that didn't go in but bounced straight up in air. Flying in from opposite side of court, Danny Green soared for an emphatic put-back slam on top of  helpless Greg Paulus. turn of events sent both anuncers and Lakers' bench into hysterics. Green would go on to finish with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting (3-of-6 from deep) and seven rebounds in a 122-101 Lakers win.

Lakers couldn’t believe it, and neir could NBA, possibly. Danny Green tweeted Monday that after game, league’s drug testers came calling. Obviously, this is all probably a coincidence as NBA rules dictate that players are subject to as many as four random drug tests during season and league probably picked Monday for test in advance.
