Draymond Green questions Toronto Raptors decision to write Black Lives Matter on team bus
While on NBA on TNT, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green asked Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri about the thought behind their BLM movement.

Toronto Raptors have continued to support Black Lives Matter movement via ir platform and even arrived at NBA bubble on July 9 with "Black Lives Matter" written on ir team bus. In an appearance on NBA on TNT, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green asked Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri about BLM movement and why y chose to write words on ir bus. While Ujiri explained why Raptors did so, Green questioned why y wrote it even though y are a Canadian team.

Ujiri, Draymond Green and Charles Barkley spoke on NBA on TNT, where Green congratulated Ujiri for Raptors' 2019 NBA championship before questioning team's decision to write "Black Lives Matter" on ir bus, making assumptions about team's accountability for black people in Canada. He stated that being a Canadian team, it does t directly impact ir team. "What made you guys take stand and put it on your bus — I think one of 22 teams that actually went through with it — where did idea come from and why did you guys feel need to push that through?” Green asked.

Ujiri responded by saying that ir team bears responsibility for creating awareness and using ir platform for a good cause. Ujiri commended Warriors' efforts towards speaking against racism, adding that Raptors are working towards using bubble as a statement. He added that y thought it would be great to travel to Florida while letting country kw about issues, emphasising on fact that someone or than league's return is on ir mind.
Ujiri furr spoke about representing NBA and t just Raptors, letting people kw something is on ir minds. Raptors forward Chris Boucher, who is a Canadian, addressed Green's question on Twitter, stating that black Canadians are also affected by systemic racism. He added that he wants to discuss this matter with Warriors star.
