Jackson Scores 39 Points, Pippen Has Triple-double As Grizzlies Beat Wizards

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 39 points, Scotty Pippen Jr. got his first career triple-double and Memphis Grizzlies beat Washington Wizards 128-104 on Friday night for ir fourth win in five games.

Pippen h 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Rookie Zach Edey h 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for Grizzlies, and Santi Aldama ded 12 points.

Kyshawn George scored 17 points to le Wizards, and Jonas Valanciunas ded 16 points. Corey Kispert finished with 14 points.

Grizzlies maintained a le of at least 20 points through bulk of second half, sending Wizards to ir third straight loss.

Wizards: Wizards are dealing with injuries to key players, which left m with a couple of rookies in starting lineup with second-year player Bilal Coulibaly. inexperience led to 13 turvers in first half, leing to 19 points as Memphis built a double-digit le.

Grizzlies: Memphis is continually picking up pace this season putting it in top 5 in league. That led to Wizards coach Brian Keefe continually yelling for his defenders to get back during most of game.

With 3:50 left in third and Memphis leing by 24, 7-foot-4 Edey got tangled with Wizards veteran 7-footer Jonas Valanciunas. re was some shoving and an elbow or two flicked between pair along with a forearm from Edey before play was stopped and double-technicals assessed against two centers.
