James Harden trade: Philadelphia 76ers 'most likely' next destination for Rockets guard

As 2020-21 season begins with preseason games, rumours surrounding highly-anticipated James Harden trade have also gained momentum. While Harden wants to leave, Houston Rockets are unable to materialize a deal which benefits m. Linked to teams like Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, Rockets are apparently in rush to trade ir All-Star guard.

A James Harden to 76ers trade about to happen?

As of w, 76ers are most likely to go for a Harden trade. However, it might be difficult for teams to reach a proper deal. As per reports, Daryl Morey is unwilling to trade Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid for Harden, wanting to keep duo intact. While rumours about a Harden trade have been around for months, y gained traction after Russell Westbrook was traded to Washington Wizards for John Wall.

Though Harden is said to have preferred Wall over Westbrook, he is t willing to play in Houston. On or hand, while Nets were an option, Rockets are t interested in a deal which does t include eir Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving. Though Harden with Nets increases chances of a championship, Durant stated he is t even thinking about Rockets guard.

Even with Miami Heat, Rockets are apparently aiming for Tyler Herro, who team is unwilling to include in any trade pack. Bucks, hoping to improve roster for Giannis Antetokounmpo, are an unlikely option.

James Harden contract details

As per Spotrac, Harden is currently signed to a four-year $171,131,520 contract with Rockets. He was offered a two-year extension worth $103 million, which he reportedly declined before requesting a trade. He will be earning $42,782,880 per annum.
