Kareem Abdul-Jabbar set to take COVID-19 vaccine for inspiring all Americans in doubt

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise despite vaccination being around, authorities are urging people to get vaccinated. However, as uncertainty lingers, t many are rey to take a risk. In an attempt to help league promote vaccination, NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar got vaccinated, hoping ors might do same.

Abdul-Jabbar – who is 73 – revealed that he received vaccine, urging ors to do same. Hall of Famer also shot a mess, which will reportedly be aired on Monday's (EST) games played on Martin Lur King Jr. Day holiday. video will feature NBA all-time leing scorer receiving COVID-19 vaccine. 

“We have to find new ways to keep each or safe,” he said. 

He even spoke about vaccine eligibility provided by  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As per guidelines, health care personnel should be a priority, as front-line workers (those over of 65) are more vulnerable to virus. This also includes front-line workers, along with those living for an extended period of time in long-term care facilities.

Earlier, NBA commissioner am Silver h spoken about vaccine. league will wait till ir turn to receive ir vaccine, t jumping line. “It’s my hope that when we are eligible that members of NBA community will want to get vaccinated," Silver ded. league plans to be proactive, helping government and ir efforts in "terms of public messaging as to benefits of taking vaccine".

For se efforts, Los Angeles Clippers anunced that LA Forum will be serving as a vaccination site from Tuesday (Wednesday IST).
