As the fans were crossing the line in their disrespect towards Team USA, Kevin Durant decided to step in and slam these fans and blasted the fan culture in the league.
“Lets talk about the fan culture that’s been created recently. A lot of huge egos who believe they are the reason for the advancement of a sport. ALOT of idol worship, a lot of hate and division based off wins and losses, a lot of disrespect of the work being put in by these incredible athletes,” wrote Kevin Durant in reply to a fan comment on X.

“Mostly by people who don’t know what it takes to be good at anything besides talking…go do something and get out the way,” said Kevin Durant.
USA guns for Gold
Team USA led by the likes of LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant will face off against Victor Wembanyama led France in the men's basketball final at Paris Olympics.
The current crop of USA players have been lauded to be even better than the iconic 92' Dream Team. But if they want to warrant these claims then USA will have to beat France in the Gold Medal match.
France will form a really tough opponent for USA with the likes of Wemby and Rudy Gobert. However, there remains no doubt that USA will be entering the contest as favourites.
