As the last team to play the Nets before the NBA suspension, Lakers will be tested for COVID-19 after Kevin Durant and 3 other Nets players tested positive.

As last team to play Nets before NBA suspension, Los Angeles Lakers will be tested for COVID-19 after Kevin Durant and three or Brooklyn Nets players tested positive for virus on Tuesday (Wednesday IST). As first reported by LA Times, Lakers promptly released a statement regarding situation. statement assures fans about necessary steps being taken by Lakers to deal with coronavirus outbreak. After being tested, each player will be self-quarantined for 14 days.

Lakers statement regarding situation informs fans that y have made contact with ir players and basketball operations staff who interacted with Nets. With NBA and UCLA doctors, team will take necessary steps to help curb coronavirus outbreak. Lakers added that safety and health is ir top priority while thanking everyone for ir support. 

Nets released a statement on through NBA site, stating that four Nets players ‘have tested positive for COVID-19 virus. Though Nets statement did t mention any of infected players, Kevin Durant spoke to  Athletic reporter Shams Charania, confirming that he has coronavirus.

Nets statement assured everyone that infected players are under isolation while team’s physicians monitor m. Meanwhile, Nets organisation is contacting anyone who has interacted with players, which includes NBA teams y have recently played against. organisation is also working closely with health authorities as y closely monitor infected players. Lastly, y assured fans that team’s and staff’s health is everyone’s top priority right w. Nets thanked all ir fans for support and hoped everyone suffering from virus a speedy recovery.

Nets coronavirus: When were players tested?

Or reports suggest that only one of four players was showing symptoms. player felt  symptoms on Tuesday, though team got mselves checked by a private company earlier. results of tests also came back on Tuesday.

se four players will join Utah Jazz’s Rudy Gobert, Dovan Mitchell and Detroit Pistons Christian Woods NBA players confirmed to have coronavirus. Gobert testing positive almost a week ago was reason NBA was suspended earlier than expected. A day later, Mitchell and Wood also tested positive.
