LeBron James not happy with NCAA investigating Ohio's Chase Young

Recently, LeBron James took to Twitter to let the NCAA know that he is not happy with their decision to investigate Ohio State defensive end, Chase Young. Young was not able to play the No 3 Ohio State where the team won 73-14 against Maryland on Sunday, while the school was investigating a possible 2018 NCAA issue. The issue is related to Young's girlfriend. Young had apparently taken a loan from a family friend so that his girlfriend could travel to Southern California and watch him play in the Rose Bowl. Young had repaid the loan soon after.

James, who is a big Buckeyes fan and Ohio native, let NCAA know about his opinion. Other players had also made their disapproval known. In one of his tweets, James talks about NCAA only caring about the money, and not the kids. Currently, the investigation is in progress, and no suspension has been issued. In an interview with a sports channel, Ohio State said that they have no idea if a suspension will be issued, and for how long. NCAA's decision will be crucial, as it will affect Buckeyes' postseason and also Young, who is one of the possible No 1 picks for the 2020 NFL draft.

NBA: LeBron James previous disagreements with the NCAA

This is not the first time James has made his opinion known. In the last few years, James has been vocal about his criticism of the NCAA, especially during the pay-for-play debate. James supported the bill which allowed players to earn money through their names and images. In an interview, James admitted that the issue was personal to him, as he and his mother did not have much back then.
