After leading Los Angeles Lakers to victory over Miami Heat, LeBron James entered the illustrious list of players who clinched 1,000 20-point games in NBA career. He became the third Lakers player to do so. He achieved the feat after scoring a 3-pointer with less than four minutes remaining against the Miami Heat and finished the game with 25 points. The Lakers star now joins Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to have surpassed the milestone. James has scored 20 points or more in 1,000 of 1,206 games he has played in his 17-year career.

James is just 135 games away from breaking Malone’s all-time mark. For doing that he would likely need another season. The 34-year-old has put up 20 points or more in every game which also includes three monster triple-doubles in the last three games for the Lakers.

LeBron James record
James currently holds the Lakers record for most consecutive triple-doubles. He achieved the feat during his team's win against the Chicago Bulls. The superstar finished with 30 points (on 10-for-19 shooting), 10 rebounds and 11 assists, officially giving him his third consecutive game with a triple-double. He also became the first Laker in 32 years to achieve three straight triple-doubles, the last being Magic Johnson who managed to reach four consecutive triple-doubles in 1987. Last year, James became the third player in NBA history to have 10 different seasons with 2,000 points or more, joining the likes of Karl Malone and Michael Jordan.
