James almost completed the task while playing the Seattle SuperSonics in 2004, where he finished the game with one assist and one rebound shy of the triple-double. James overtook Russell Westbrook on the list, who has also scored a triple-double against 29 teams. Jason Kidd is next with 28 teams, followed by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson scoring against 25 and 24 different teams respectively. James is currently averaging at 25 points, 7.6 rebounds and career-high 11.2 assists. He has led the Lakers to their best record in the league. James currently ranks fifth on the career triple-double list with 86 triple-doubles. He is ranked behind Oscar Robertson (181), Westbrook (141), Johnson (138) and Kidd (107).
