LeBron James to end long-time deal with Coca-Cola? Lakers star might sign up with Pepsi

According to recent reports, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James might sign up with rivals PepsiCo after his contract with Coca-Cola expired last September.

As per reports by Front Office Sports, James is gearing up to sign with PepsiCo after having endorsed Sprite and Powere brands for Coca-Cola. Reports d James will be face of Mountain Dew's new "Rise Energy" line, and could also pitch Pepsi's flagship brand. ditionally, he will join or WNBA and NBA players – Zion Williamson, Joel Embiid, Jamal Murray and A'ja Wilson – in promoting 'MTN DEW'.

However, per reports, PepsiCo and James' spokesperson have declined to comment on matter. On or hand, Coca-Cola's representatives stated that James' deal with company – signed in 2003 – expired in September 2020. “LeBron’s contract came up at a time when both he and Coca-Cola Company were actively reviewing all of its resources to make sure it was investing in places that ensured long-term growth,” Coca-Cola said while speaking to Front Office Sports.
