The New York Knicks are reportedly eyeing moves for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Masai Ujiri. Reigning MVP Antetokounmpo has the option of being one of the biggest free agents who will hit the market next year. The Knicks will be looking to have Antetokounmpo play for them. Recently, sources close to the team told a sports website that the team even plans on acquiring Raptors president Masai Ujiri. The Knicks owner James Dolan is reported to be happy with spending a considerable sum that will be required to get Ujiri to leave the Raptors as he would definitely be an asset to the team.

Ujiri is respected by today's players and built the championship team in Toronto. According to a sports website, the Knicks' executive Steve Mills told Dolan that he could not sway Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant for even a sitdown. Thus the Knicks will be looking to trade Mills with Ujiri within time, so he could also convince Antetokounmpo to join the New York Knicks.
Antetokounmpo has not made any comments about his decision. However, it is possible that the player moves on to another team. At first, rumours surrounding Antetokounmpo said that he resented the attention a big market team brought. However, a study published by the Harvard Business School included a quote by the player which said otherwise. Antetokounmpo said that there would be no other teams he would like to play for as things have been going well. He added that signing does become difficult if they underperform the coming year. However, Antetokounmpo was quick to deny it. He said that he will not be addressing free agency publicly till the current season is over. He also refused to talk about it, even though various stories might come out.
