NBA to convert arenas into voting booths for upcoming USA Presidential Elections

Following their decision to continue their postponed games on the weekend, the NBA announced that they will be turning arenas into voting places.

Following Milwaukee Bucks boycott that led to NBA playoffs being postponed, league came back determined with a proactive plan to advocate social justice. As per league's latest statement, league, along with players, coaches and goverrs, will be working on multiple social justice programs and advertising spots during ir time at NBA bubble to promote "civic engment". However, league's biggest step will be converting NBA arenas to voting places for 2020 presidential election.

NBA voting sites: League offers arenas as voting places for vember elections

"In every city where league franchise owns and controls arena property, team goverrs will continue to work with local elections officials to convert facility into a voting location for 2020 general election to allow for a safe in-person voting option for communities vulnerable to COVID,"  NBA stated. y added that if deadline passed, goverrs will "work with local elections officials to find ar election-related use for facility". This use is t limited to voter registration and ballot receiving boards. 

arena here will be divided into two groups – public-owned arenas and private facilities. teams owning or playing at private arenas will be able to easily commit to plan. However, or areas might be difficult to use. This also includes arenas under a Public-Private partnership (PPP) deal. decision for se arenas will be made by officials in charge.
