NBA trade rumours: D' Angelo Russell and the Warriors
D’Angelo Russell is in the midst of his best season as a pro, averaging career-high points for the Warriors. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Warriors, who are struggling in the NBA this season. They currently lie at the bottom in the Western Conference with just two wins and 12 defeats. Injuries to their top stars including Stephen Curry and others have left them short of options from the bench.

NBA trade rumours: Timberwolves in for D'Angelo Russell
The Minnesota Timberwolves might just pounce on the crisis with a very relishing offer. According to reports, the Timberwolves are ready to part with Jeff Teague, Robert Covington and two future first-round pick for D'Angelo Russell. The young point guard is the biggest trade asset for the Warriors and we might just have to wait how the deal progresses. And though the Timberwolves were snubbed by D'Angelo Russell in the 2019 free agency, it’s definitely not a surprise that the Timberwolves are again considered one of the potential suitors of Russell before the February trade deadline.

Timberwolves trade rumours: An offer you can't refuse?
It’s a deal that on paper fill the needs for both sides. The Warriors would add much-needed wing depth and pieces to build on for the future, while the Wolves would become almost instant contenders with the pairing of D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns.
The proposed trade deal would enable the Warriors to acquire three things that might just be very important for any team: salary cap relief, a quality role player, and future draft assets. Teague would allow them to open up their salary cap space in the summer of 2020, while Covington would give the Warriors a defensive-minded big man who could complement the duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
