PGA America moves 2022 Championship out of Trump National Golf Club after Capitol saga
PGA America have voted the PGA 2022 Championship out of the Donald Trump National Golf club following the riots at the US Capitol last week.

In latest fallout of US Capitol riot, Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf course has been stripped off PGA 2022 Championship. Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey was set to host a major tournament in 2022 but following events in Washington last week, PGA America have decided to sever all ties with Donald Trump. PGA America h signed a deal with Trump National in 2014, and 2022 championship was set to be first men's major to take place at venue.

According to an AP News report, PGA President Jim Richerson revealed that board h voted to exercise its right to “terminate agreement” with Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey. vote comes in days after Trump-fueled riot at nation’s Capitol as Congress was certifying election victory of President-elect Joe Biden. This is second time in just over five years PGA America removed one of its events from a Trump course.

In an interview with AP, Seth Waugh, CEO of PGA America said that organisation finds mselves in a political situation t of ir making. Waugh said that after events in US Capitol, organisation h to protect ir im and brand, and holding event in Bedminster could have h irreparable dam. Waugh declined to say wher PGA America expected any legal challenges from Trump Organisation.

Trump Organisation said in a statement that it has “a beautiful partnership with PGA of America and are incredibly disappointed with ir decision". statement furr said that cancellation for PGA 2022 championship was a breach of a binding contract and PGA America have right to terminate agreement. It also said that Trump Organisation h invested 'many, many millions of dollars' for event. Despite blow, statement re that organisation will continue to promote game of golf on every level and remain focused on operating finest golf courses anywhere in world.

PGA America, which operates separately from PGA Tour and its week-to-week tournaments, previously held Senior PGA Championship at Trump’s course outside Washington in 2017. That was same year USGA std U.S. Women’s Open at Trump National in Bedminster. PGA America h cancelled PGA Grand Slam of Golf in 2015 at Trump National Los Angeles Golf Club after his disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants while he was seeking Republican mination for president.
