Will Candace Parker leave Sparks after 13 years for WNBA 'Home' team Chicago Sky?
According to recent reports, WNBA star Candace Parker will be leaving the Los Angeles Sparks after 13 years to go play for hometown team Chicago Sky soon.

In 2008, Candace Parker was drafted at .1 by Los Angeles Sparks. She went on to play with team for over a dece, even winning 2016 title with team. w, however, 34-year-old is apparently returning to her hometown – where she will sign a deal with Chicago Sky.

As per recent reports, Parker has decided to sign with Sky this year. two-time WNBA MVP is an unrestricted free nt, and will sign with Chicago officially on Monday next week. Reports d that while Sparks wanted to sign her up again, she wanted to spend final leg of her career in her hometown, surrounded by family and friends.
During 2020 season, reigning WNBA Defensive Player of Year (DPOY) played all 22 games for team, finishing third in MVP voting. She won MVP award in 2013, along with Finals MVP in 2016. She is said to be only WNBA player to win MVP and Rookie Of Year awards in same year (2008).

Parker started her basketball career in Tennessee, where she won NCAA national championships in 2007 and 2008. This season, she is averaging 14.7 points and 4.6 assists, while shooting 51% from field and 39.6% from three-point range.

Parker last signed a five-year $577,500 deal with Sparks in 2016. Her annual salary amounts to $115,500. details of her new contract with Chicago Sky have t been revealed. However, she might earn a sizeable amount as a veteran ded to team's roster.
