Boxing coach: Military Games to help in Olympic qualifier preparation
Indian boxing coach Subedar Jai Singh Patil stated that the Military World Games at Wuhan in China would help the players prepare for the Olympics qualifiers.

Indian boxing coach Subedar Jai Singh Patil stated on Saturday, October 19, that Military World Games at Wuhan in China would help players prepare for Olympics qualifiers. He furr exuded confidence that boxers would give ir 200%. Mentioning fact that qualifiers were scheduled to be held in Wuhan, he observed that players such as Amit Panghal h alrey visited venue.

He said, "All boxers have come here to play and win matches. We have also come to win and we will give our 200%. After this, Olympics qualifying challenges are re in February. Coincidentally, qualifying rounds for Olympics will be held in Wuhan. Since players are here in Wuhan, y will get to kw about environment and or factors. Amit Panghal and Deepak have alrey visited venue. All will do well in games."
A satisfactory day 1 for India
Out of 7 Indian boxers that participated on first day, 4 won ir bout while three ors lost ir matches. In men's 52-56 kg category, Chirag defeated Zambia's Katanga Christopher with a 5-0 score. In men's light fly category which is 46-49 kg, Deepak defeated Iran's Abaszeh Ali. Commonwealth bronze medalist, Satish Kumar came out triumphant in men's super-heavyweight category of 91+ kg by defeating Brazil's Nascimento Cosme with a 3-2 score. However, Sandeep Kumar did t have a good outing in his match as he was defeated by Uzbekistan's Rasulov Jakhongir in preliminary men's 60-64 kg category. In total, 54 participants from Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force are taking part in 9-day long 7th CISM Military World Games, which was inaugurated by Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday. This time, India would participate in 9 sports events in competition.
