A day after being pulled from a Cincinnati Reds brocast, Thom Brennaman has lost his job as an NFL brocaster. Cincinnati Reds anunced suspension of veteran brocaster Thom Brennaman from all ir remaining games this season after he uttered an anti-gay slur on air during ir clash against Kansas City on Wednesday. following day, Thom Brennaman issued an apology for his homophobic slur, stating that he is "deeply ashamed" of comments he me during game but his company confirmed that Brennaman won't be calling NFL games moving forward.

Brennaman used anti-gay slur after Fox Sports Ohio feed returned from a commercial break before top of seventh inning in first game of Cincinnati Reds' doubleheer against Kansas City. Brennaman began brocasting second game of doubleheer, but during game, he issued an apology after fifth inning and left booth. Field reporter Jim Day took over play-by-play duties following Brennaman's departure.
Cincinnati Reds immediately issued a statement over incident, claiming y were 'devastated by horrific and homophobic remark me by Brennaman.' statement went on to re: 'In way does this incident represent out coaches, players organization or our fans'. On Thursday, FOX Sports confirmed that veteran brocaster won't be calling any more games in NFL moving forward. Thom Brennaman was heard saying, “ f** capital of world” during innings of a Fox Sports Ohio production.

Thom Brennaman took to social media to issue an apology for his homophobic comments that were picked up on air. Following his on-air apology, Brennaman said: "What I said is something one should ever say. Something that one should ever think. Something that one should ever feel. Something one should ever hear. If I have hurt anyone out re, I can’t tell you how much I say from bottom of my heart that I’m so very, very sorry.” Brennaman h been part of Fox's NFL anuncer line-up since it started televising league back in 1994.
