Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White announced that Brock Lesnar, who is the current WWE Universal Champion, wants to fight against Daniel Cormier, UFC Heavyweight Champion. White also said in an interview that both the contenders want the match really bad and it would be a good one. The clash between Brock Lesnar and Daniel Cormier was first introduced at UFC 226 in July 2018 after Cormier beat Stipe Miocic for the title. Lesnar has also pushed Cormier while exchanging words in the Octagon. Brock Lesnar has managed to win the Universal title at Crown Jewel and has maintained it. UFC's Megan Olivi confirmed that both Lesnar and Cormier want the fight and so does the UFC.
Brock Lesnar back with WWE
Brock Lesnar had signed a contract with WWE which will make the fight against Daniel Cormier very difficult to happen. However, the contract with WWE has already expired after WrestleMania 34. Lesnar has also not competed in the UFC since 2016. Daniel Cormier has said that he wants to retire after hitting the 40-year mark and if he sticks to his statement, many dream matches won't be possible. Brock had defeated Mark Hunt by a unanimous decision but was later changed to no-contest when Lesnar was tested positive for a banned drug, which led to his suspension. He took the drug test again and is now eligible to fight whenever he wants. It might be difficult for the American wrestler as he has not won a fight inside the Octagon since 2010. Fighting the former two-division world champion, who has held the heavyweight and light heavyweight world championships simultaneously will not be an easy task.
