CeeDee Lamb throws shade after losing ball in sun as Jerry Jones bristles over curtains

CeeDee Lamb was unhappy about losing a ball in the sun on an incompletion that helped keep Dallas from scoring a go-ahead touchdown in the first half of Sunday's 34 -6 loss to Philadelphia.

CeeDee Lamb was unhappy about losing a ball in sun on an incompletion that helped keep Dallas from scoring a go-ahe touchdown in first half of a 34-6 loss to Philelphia on Sunday.

Cowboys owner and general manr Jerry Jones was perturbed that sun was once again mentioned as an issue in his $1.2 billion retractable roof stium, which has glass doors on eir end.

AT&T Stium has an unusual east-west alignment from end zone to end zone, unlike most venues being rth-south. On clear days, sun shines in windows on west side during first half of games that kick off in afteron.

Lamb, Dallas' All-Pro receiver, was looking into to sun in second quarter while open on a crossing route in end zone when a throw from Cooper Rush went behind him and he never justed to ball.

Lamb n pointed to his eyes, and was making similar gestures on sideline during ar frustrating home loss for Cowboys (3-6), who are on a four-game losing streak overall and 0-4 at AT&T Stium.

“I couldn’t see ball. Couldn’t see ball, at all. sun,” said Lamb, who ended a preseason-long holdout by signing a $136 million, four-year contract extension in late August.

Asked wher Cowboys should put up curtains on that, Lamb said, “Yes. One thousand percent.”

And on question of making suggestion to Jones, Lamb said, “I mean, y’all are doing my job for me right w.”

It has been suggested plenty of times, and Jones has always flatly rejected it. 82-year-old billionaire angrily rejected it after bringing up issue unprompted in his post-game session with reporters.

“By way, we kw where sun is going to be when we flip coin, so we do kw where damn sun is going to be in our own stium,” Jones said. “Let’s just tear damn stium down and build ar one. Are you kidding me?”

While Jones' response could be taken as a criticism of embattled coach Mike McCarthy, Jones said it wasn't.

“Every team that comes in here has same issues,” Jones said. “y kw where sun is going to be. Every team has same thing. I'm t saying (it’s on McCarthy). I’m saying world kws where sun is. We get to kw that almost a year in vance. So someone asked me about sun. What about sun? Where’s moon? We’re fine. But everybody plays in sun out here.”

Cowboys are bracing for official word that quarterback Dak Prescott needs season-ending surgery for a torn hamstring. y have lost five in a row at AT&T Stium, with five turvers in each of past two losses.
