PM Narendra Modi Enjoys a Round of Bullet Chess Clash Between R Praggnanandhaa & Arjun Erigaisi

PM Narendra Modi was a spectator between a round of Bullet Chess action between Grandmasters R Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi recently.

India secured a historic win at the FIDE Chess Olympiad as the men's and women's team secured a gold medal finish in Budapest. Following their win, all of the members visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence   as they celebrated their success together. The Chess stars presented a chess board to the Prime Minister, in which R Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi played while PM Modi looked on.

PM Modi Witnesses R Praggnanandhaa vs Arjun Erigaisi in Bullet Chess During the Team’s Visit at His Residence

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi , became a spectator for a game of chess when he hosted the country's gold medal winners at the FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest. He was a spectator between a round of Bullet Chess action between Grandmasters R Praggnanandhaa and  Arjun Erigaisi. All the members were invited to the PM's official residence, and he enjoyed the play as the game progressed. 

Taking it to the social media platform 'X' (Formerly Twitter), PM Modi's website account (@narendramodi_in). The Prime Minister expressed his adulation for India's progressing future in Tests. 

“Bullet Chess by two Grandmasters. Incredible! India's chess future is very bright,” PM Modi said.

In order to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi chose not to defend his title at the 10th Vugar Gashimov Memorial Chess Super Tournament in Azerbaijan. He was a member of the Indian men's team that won the Open gold at the Chess Olympiad, along with D Gukesh, R Praggnanandhaa, and Arjun. The Prime Minister was to meet with the men's and women's teams on Wednesday, and he did not want to pass up the chance. Aravindh Chithambaram has taken Gujrathi's place for the September 25–30 event.

India created history on Sunday by winning their first-ever gold medals at the prestigious event. The women's team defeated Azerbaijan in the final round, while the men's team defeated Slovenia. The women's team defeated Azerbaijan to win gold.
