Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier confirm weight class of potential fight, to fight at 155lbs
Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier will reportedly clash in January. Dana White said UFC is talking to both fighters, but they are yet to sign an official contract.

Talk of a rematch between Cor McGregor and Dustin Poirier has been going on for weeks. Though bout is yet to be made official, both fighters are ready to throw hands and are aiming for bout to take place in January 2021. Recently, McGregor and Poirier answered ar big question related to bout – which weight class will fight take place in?
Cor McGregor and Dustin Poirier to clash at lightweight
Cor McGregor, who fought Donald Cerrone in welterweight division and hinted at a stay in division, recently shared a video on Twitter with a cryptic mess. While promoting his McGregor FAST conditioning programme, torious One teased that he’s coming for lightweight division. “Fresh out of McGregor FAST Laboratory today. Full body composition scan complete and results came back = Lightweight Division incoming,” Cor McGregor wrote.

A few hours later, Dustin Poirier also confirmed bout for lightweight division when a fan asked him about same on Twitter. With all parties on same p, it appears UFC could soon make bout official.

Moreover, with Khabib Nurmagomedov set to relinquish lightweight title, re are rumours that Cor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 2 could be for UFC gold. However, some reports claim that it will be a n-title fight as Cor McGregor has t competed in lightweight division since 2018 when he lost to current reigning champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Cor McGregor next fight: Dana White gives an update on McGregor vs Poirier 2
Dana White recently appeared on Zach Gelb Show (on CBS Sports Radio) where he gave fans an update on McGregor vs Poirier 2. UFC chief said that promotion is talking to both fighters but y are yet to sign an official contract. “We sent bout agreements for both of m to fight and y haven’t signed m yet. I can’t speak for Poirier, but I kw Cor hasn’t signed his." However, Dana White said that both Cor McGregor & Dustin Poirier want to fight and could make it official soon.
“I’ve never had eir guy say y would fight and n t fight. Cor’s never done that and neir has Dustin. So, I assume y are gonna fight,” UFC supremo stated.
