It is not often that you hear someone hit a 100m six in cricket, despite the grounds being small and the bats better. It takes some effort to smash something above the 100m-mark. But on Thursday, Trinbago Knight Riders' Shaqkere Parris smashed a mind-boggling 124m six during a CPL match and send the ball out of the ground. He did this in a CPL match against Guyana Amazon Warriors. Opening the batting, he took his left leg aside to create the room for the swing and then he got a overpitched ball exactly where he was hoping it would be. The connection with the bat was good and then it sailed out of the park leaving the fans and the fielders in amaze.

Chasing 129 to win, Parris and Sunil Narine was looking to get his side off to a good start. Unfortunately, Narine perished early for 11. Parris was the next to go, he hit a run-a-ball 29. Eventually, the Knights found themselves in a spot of bother, but that is when Andre Russell (36* off 15 balls) brought all his experience to the table to take his side over the line with four balls to spare.

‘Feels good to be back’
"It feels good to be back in the middle. Struggling since that ankle injury, but these guys have been doing an amazing job to get me back on the field. Doing whatever the physio wants me to do, that needs some dedication. I know I can hit sixes, I know David is a six-hitter as well. I said to Tim we have to get 8 sixes in 24 balls. Rest of the balls - we could have taken care of it, final game for Bravo, he's a true champion," player of the match Andre Russell said.
