Aakash Chopra predicts Virat Kohli and co. would go for THIS KXIP player in IPL auction

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that the Virat Kohli-led RCB side needs more Indian players in their line-up for the IPL 2021 season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise retained as many as 12 cricketers, including captain Virat Kohli, for upcoming Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL 2021) season. y also retained star attractions AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal and am Zampa ahe of 2021 IPL auction. Aakash Chopra believes RCB should go for Karun Nair at auction

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently took to his YouTube channel to give his take on RCB’s potential IPL auction strategy. Emphasising on fact that y are w left with just three Indian batsmen (Virat Kohli, Devdutt Pikkal and Pavan Deshpande) in ir line-up, Chopra believes that franchise might go for Karnataka bastman Karun Nair at bidding event. Nair was previously part of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) camp between 2018 and 2020, before franchise released him ahe of IPL auction.

Aakash Chopra was of opinion that Karun Nair might get a good contract from his 'home' franchise RCB at auction since re are t many Indian batsmen in ir camp. According to Chopra, 29-year-old Nair can provide some solidity in RCB’s middle-order. cricketer-turned-commentator believes that ex-KXIP player can also attract attention from CSK camp at auction, because y also do t have eugh Indian batters in ir line-up.

IPL 2021 updates

IPL 2021 season is reported to commence in second week of April, i.e. just after conclusion of India’s home series against England. However, an official anuncement is yet to be me by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding its entire itinerary. 2021 IPL auction will be held on February 18 in Chennai.
