In 2023, he achieved the second-highest number of runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) for India, accumulating a total of 1,377 runs in 27 matches. His performance was surpassed only by Shubman Gill. Kohli had a remarkable performance in the Men's ODI World Cup, accumulating 765 runs and receiving the Player of the Tournament accolade.
At the age of 36, Kohli has an impressive performance history versus Sri Lanka. He has accumulated 2,594 runs in 51 One Day International (ODI) innings, which includes 10 hundreds.
