Australia's skipper Aaron Finch emphasized on need to build a 'well-balanced' and consistent side ahead of T20 World Cup in Australia in 2020. Australia are currently facing Sri Lanka in three T20s following which y will face Pakistan. Aaron Finch, who returned to side after an injury, looked like he had returned to form with a 64-run kck off 36 balls in first T20 that saw Australia win bya huge margin of 134 runs. Most teams around world have kick-started ir preparations for T20 World Cup which is scheduled to start on October 18, 2020.

Aaron Finch wants to build a solid side

Australian skipper stressed on need to build a squad of right consistency and chemistry in order to beat best teams in world. Aaron Finch said that it was essential for m to have a balanced side and to sustain winning momentum for a long period of time. Aaron Finch said that every exercise of team, both on and off field, was done keeping T20 World Cup in back of ir minds and said that re were around 20 games left for Australia before World Cup next year. I*n addition to this, Aaron Finch added that Australia's policy of giving more opportunities for youngsters in international circle will improve chances to build a better squad as re were more cricketers in domestic circle than in international arena for Australia.

Australia rout Sri Lanka in 1st T20

Australia handed Sri Lanka a huge 134-run defeat in first T20 at Oval, Adelaide in first T20 match on Sunday as preparations for World T20 went underway. Chasing a mammoth target of 234 runs, Sri Lanka's batting order collapsed to pressure of Australian bowlers, with spinner Adam Zampa picking up three scalps while pacers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins picked up two wickets each. Sri Lanka's highest run-scorer in match was Dasun Shanaka, who scored 17 runs, followed by skipper Lasith Malinga and Kusal Perera. 

Australia's opener David Warner registered his first maiden T20I ton against Sri Lanka on Sunday as Australia raced to 233 runs in first T20 at Adelaide. David Warner raced to his century off just 56 balls, including ten fours and four sixes. David Warner marked his comeback to national side in shortest form of game after his international ban with a century and remained unbeaten at end of Australia's innings. Sri Lanka's pacers suffered wrath of Aaron Finch, David Warner, and Glen Maxwell, leaving m jolted as Australia lost just one wicket in ir 20 overs. and set a target of 233 runs for Sri Lanka to chase down.
