Abu Dhabi T10 locks in top Indian brand as sponsors despite COVID-19 ahead of Jan 28 start

The Abu Dhabi T10 League has retained a top Indian FMCG brand as their umpiring sponsors for the upcoming tournament starting from January 28.

 Abu Dhabi T10, which was originally scheduled to be played from vember 18-29, h to be postponed due to coronavirus pandemic and will w be played from January 28 to February 6 at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stium in Abu Dhabi. league will feature all eight teams that participated in third edition of  competition last year.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi T10 League has retained Indian-based 'Vimal Elaichi' as ir umpiring sponsors for upcoming tournament. news about ir association was anunced on Twitter by official handle of Abu Dhabi T10 League. tably, 'Vimal Elaichi' was also league's umpiring sponsors in last edition of competition.

Abu Dhabi T10 teams and format

one of a kind tournament which was started in 2017 has seen some of world's most prominent cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, Chris Lynn, Shahid Afridi, Dwayne Bravo among ors. It's an exciting format where runs scored are galore as a side gets to play only 10 overs. competition is a round-robin followed by kckouts and final. eight Abu Dhabi T10 teams that will compete in tournament are Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gliators, Delhi Bulls, Maratha Arabians, rrn Warriors, Pune Devils, Qalandars, Team Abu Dhabi.

Shahid Afridi signed as 'icon player' by Lahore Qalandars

Afridi has been signed by Lahore Qalandars as an icon player where he will represent franchise in  Abu Dhabi T10 League. CEO of Lahore Qalandars, Sameen Rana welcomed Afridi in a statement saying that Pakistan veteran is an exciting and experienced cricketer. He ded that Qalandars family is proud to welcome him back as an icon player for upcoming season of Abu Dhabi T10. Rana furr said that y look forward to welcoming Afridi to Qalandars family and were hopeful that his presence will take team to new heights in season. 

Afirid's countrymate Mohamm Amir, who recently retired from international cricket, will represent Pune Devils in  upcoming edition of league. tably, Pune Devils were kwn as Karnataka Tuskers last year. news about Amir's participation in Abu Dhabi T10 League was confirmed by official Twitter handle of league in December.
