After registering their second Test victory over Bangladesh from just three Test games, Afghanistan have now added another feat to their name. Afghanistan batsmen Najibullah Zadran and Mohammad Nabi smashed seven sixes off seven deliveries as they fast-tracked the team's score to 197 runs at the end of 20 overs, a stiff target for Zimbabwe to chase. After a blistering knock of 43 runs from opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the Afghanistan batting order survived a mild collapse in between, only for Nabi and Zardan to light up the skies by sending seven deliveries out of the park consecutively.

After losing a couple of wickets, the Afghanistan top-order looked slightly unsettled before they stepped on the gas in the 16th over. Najibullah Zardan and Mohammad Nabi took on Neville Madziva and Chatara and sent seven deliveries out of the park, taking their score of 123 runs at the beginning of the 16th over to 174 at the beginning of the 18th over. Najibullah Zardan brought up his 50 in just 30 balls smashing six sixes and five fours en route to his quickfire knock of 69 runs. Mohammad Nabi too assisted Zardan as he made a quick 38 runs from 18 deliveries with four sixes. Afghanistan have set Zimbabwe a tough target of 198 runs at the end of their 20 overs. The duo shared a partnership of 107 runs.

As new entrants to the longer format of the game, Afghanistan first stunned the world by pulling off a win against Ireland in their maiden Test contest. The underdog side picked up their second victory after defeating Bangladesh bya huge margin. With this win, Afghanistan registered a rare feat by winning two matches from just three Test games played while India, New Zealand and Bangladesh took as many as more than 30 games to register two victories. Former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra took to the micro-blogging social media website to put out the stats and inform fans about Afghanistan's achievement. The former Indian cricketer lauded the efforts of the team and wished them luck for the future.
