In the final T20 match in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, Afghanistan defeated the Windies by 29 runs. 17-year-old Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 79 runs off 52 balls and was rightly adjudged the man of the match. Karim Jannat became the man of the series with his overall performance in the series. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan said the team had world-class bowling line up so the team had to put up a good score on the board.

"It's great to have senior players in the team. I am quite happy to be a young captain who have such great young and senior players. We are a very good T20 side and now no one can take us lightly anymore. We hope to do really good and be a real challenger in T20 World Cup next year," Rashid Khan said during the post-match presentation ceremony.
