Afghanistan has scaled a new height and stunned the world by defeating defending T20 World Champions West Indies 2-1 in the three-match T20I series on Sunday

In final T20 match in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in Luckw on Sunday, Afghanistan defeated Windies by 29 runs. 17-year-old Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 79 runs off 52 balls and was rightly adjudged man of match. Karim Jannat became man of series with his overall performance in series. Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan said team had world-class bowling line up so team had to put up a good score on board.

"It's great to have senior players in team. I am quite happy to be a young captain who have such great young and senior players. We are a very good T20 side and w one can take us lightly anymore. We hope to do really good and be a real challenger in T20 World Cup next year," Rashid Khan said during post-match presentation ceremony.
