Ajinkya Rahane drops three catches, Twitter hilariously calls it the 'Delhi curse'

Ajinkya Rahane had a torrid day on the field as he dropped 3 catches during Ind vs Ban Test. Twitteratis blamed his impending Delhi Capitals move for it.

The Indian bowling attack was impressive yet again in the first Test between India and Bangladesh. While the bowlers delivered the goods, India’s slip fielding was extremely poor as the Indian fielders were guilty of dropping as many as four catches in Bangladesh's first innings. While captain Virat Kohli spilt a simple catch, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane had a poorer day on the field, putting down as many as three catches standing in the slips.

Ajinkya Rahane, one of India’s most reliable catchers and a constant in India’s slip cordon, bore the brunt of his poor performance on the field as fans vented out their frustration on Twitter. Many fans hilariously blamed Rahane's poor performance on his impending trade to the Delhi Capitals. Fortunately for India, his dropped catches did not cause much damage as Bangladesh were bowled out for 150, with Mohammad Shami picking up 3 wickets. Ajinkya Rahane off to Delhi Capitals 

Ajinkya Rahane has represented India in 61 Tests, scoring 3975 runs at an average of 43.20. The Mumbai batsman has also played 140 IPL games, scoring 3820 runs at a strike-rate of 121.92 including two hundreds. He is all set to move to Delhi Capitals, after spending 9 seasons with the Rajasthan Royals. A leading Indian online portal claimed on Thursday that the Delhi Capitals will trade Prithvi Shaw to the Royals in return for Ajinkya Rahane, although nothing official has been announced as yet.
