Debutants performance cap India’s series-levelling win

Apart from Ajinkya Rahane MCG hundred, debutants Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj also starred with bat and ball respectively to highlight India’s win. Gill scored 45 in first innings and remained unbeaten on 35 alongside Rahane in run-chase on Day 4. Meanwhile, Siraj claimed figures of 2-40 and 3-37 to collect a five-wicket match-haul on his Test debut.
