Pakistan cricketer Hassan Ali on Wednesday condemned the horrific terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. Hassan Ali, whose wife is an Indian, expressed his sorrow and anger on his official Instagram handle by sharing a picture that read, "All Eyes on Vaishno Devi Attack." This act of solidarity comes just days after three foreign terrorists attacked a civilian bus in Reasi, resulting in the deaths of nine people and injuries to 33 others.

The brutal attack, which has drawn widespread condemnation, occurred on the same day as the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 match between India and Pakistan in New York. Despite the intense rivalry on the cricket field, Hassan Ali’s statement highlights a moment of unity against terrorism. The match ended with India defeating Pakistan by 6 runs, but the joy of victory was overshadowed by the tragedy back home.

Pakistan cricketer condemns Reasi terror attack

Hassan Ali, who participated in the 2023 ODI World Cup held in India, is known for his strong connection to both countries through his family. His condemnation of the attack is significant, considering the delicate and often strained relations between India and Pakistan, especially in the context of cross-border terrorism. The attackers, suspected to have crossed over from Pakistan, executed the deadly assault on civilians on Sunday.
