Amid ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Controversy, IND Bars Blind Team From Playing T20 WC in PAK

Amid the uncertainty over India's participation in the Champions Trophy, the blind team will also not visit Pakistan for T20 World Cup.

Amid the uncertainty over India's participation in the Champions Trophy , the blind team will also not visit Pakistan for T20 World Cup . Despite the Sports Ministry issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the team’s travel, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reportedly withheld permission, citing security concerns. The event is scheduled to take place from November 23 to December 3. It would be interesting to see what eventually happens as India is one of the frontrunners to win it.

INDIA BLIND TEAM FAVOURITES

India has won all the three editions held so far. It would be a big setback for the sport if India do not participate. This comes to light amid uncertainty over the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 where India has confirmed they will not send their team to Pakistan. 

What About CT 2025? 

For the unversed, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed to the ICC that they would not travel to Pakistan for the mega event. Most realise that India's participation is necessary for the success of the tournament. Pakistan has been informed of the financial impact if India withdraw from the event. It would be interesting to see what happens. 

CT 25 SCHEDULE

As per reports, the ICC is set to announce the schedule this week. 

Meanwhile, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi addressed the press on Monday and made it clear that Pakistan is not going to agree to the ‘hybrid’ model.

"If India has any concerns about sending their team to Pakistan they must talk to us and we will remove them. I don't think there is any reason for India not to come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy," PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi told reporters on Monday.
