Arsenal fans demand match against Brentford to be replayed post controversial offside call

Arsenal fans are seemingly not happy with the two offside calls and therefore want their club to make an appeal. They went to social media to showcase opinion.

Following a 1-1 draw at Emirates, Arsenal has yet again dropped points at top of league. Gunners played Brentford on Saturday and failed to gar all three points. Arsenal are still 6 points clear at top. 

Fans however are t pleased with what transpired at Emirates and want match to be replayed. Arsenal fans are seemingly t happy with calls by referee and refore want ir club to appeal. y went to social media to make ir opinion kwn.

Livid reactions by Arsenal Fans

One wrote: "Arsenal needs to appeal and request a replay. When title is so close, Brentford players were offside twice!"

A second said: "Blatant offside for Brentford’s goal but yeah surprise every decision goes against Arsenal."

A third ded: "Dermot Gallagher says Brentford goal was offside, commentator said likewise. Arsenal robbed again."

A fourth commented: "Arsenal need to require an investigation on who was controlling VAR decisions in this game. re were TWO clear and obvious offsides in Brentford goal and y decided to igre m BOTH."

A fifth fumed: " pen at Newcastle, pen at Everton, offside goal for Brentford. Call me crazy but refs are actually against us".

Mikel Arteta was absolutely furious after game and revealed club will be writing to Premier League, having taken issue with two calls.

“I’ve looked back at goal and it was offside," he said post-match.

"y haven’t explained why it wasn’t ruled out and we’ll be giving our views to Premier League.

“You have to apply certain principles in defending set-pieces and you do that by sticking to rules.

“But apparently y were t applied and if you suddenly change those rules you tell us before game so you don’t defend with line so high.

“We apply what referee tells us every single week before game - that if blockers are offside n it will be ruled out.

“I also think ir player was offside when he crossed ball. I was hoping that cameras and visuals would pick that up because it looks like re were two actions."

Arsenal have arguably biggest game of season on Wednesday when y welcome defending champions City to Emirates.
