'You want to give your 100%': Arshdeep Singh Eager to Shine in the Epic Border-Gavaskar Showdown
After wreaking havoc in the white-ball format, T20 World Cup-bowler Arshdeep Singh is eager to make is mark in the red-ball format.

One of Team India's heroes, Arshdeep Singh, wreaked havoc during the Men in Blue's campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The Rohit Sharma-led side stood out as an undefeated squad, and a lot of credit goes to the star bowler. India's bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, featured Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh as they scalped vital wickets in the process. Eventually, it led to India's win at the Final in Barbados. But they will have more challenges down the line, and Arshdeep aims to be ready for all of the targets that the team will be facing.

Star India bowler Arshdeep Singh confident regarding his potential debut in Test format
Team India's biggest challenges will arrive at the end of 2024 when the Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue will face off against one of their longstanding rivals, Australia. The red-ball series will take place down under, and a hostile environment is expected to happen as the Aussies will be the clear favourites at home. But Arshdeep Singh seems to be ready for the challenge as his spell in the T20 World Cup could back him up in order to make his debut in the longest format of the game.
"As a player, you want to give your 100 per cent no matter what format. This is my thinking too. I would give my best if given a chance," the Indian Cricket Team bowler Arshdeep Singh said as quoted by ANI when he visited the Chandigarh University

Arshdeep Singh has featured in One Day Internationals and T20Is, and his best display was in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 when he put up his best figure of 4/9. In the 52 T20Is, the pacer scalped 79 wickets at an average of 19.10. He is yet to make his debut in Tests, and given his recent spell, the star-bowler could be able to make his mark in the red-ball games after making his international debut in 2022.
