Mushfiqur Rahim has been granted an extended leave by BCB

player has been granted a leave to be with his wife who delivered ir second child recently. former Bangladesh skipper has been in Dhaka following completion of Sri Lanka game and will w be with his family for an extended period. player will miss India clash which is of importance given fact that India have already qualified for summit clash to be played on Sunday.

Bangladesh cricket board issued a statement confirming aforementioned development.

"Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will miss Friday's Super Four match against India as he has been granted an extention of leave by Board to be with his newborn child and family.

"BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Mohammed Jalal Yunus said: "Mushfiqur has informed us that his wife is still recovering, and he needs to be by her side and with ir children at this time. We fully understand his situation and have decided to permit him to skip game."

"Mushfiqur, who had returned to Bangladesh to witness birth of his second child, was initially expected to rejoin team in Colombo for India match. However, he will w remain in Dhaka with his family."
