Asia Cup 2023: Wasim Jaffer trolls Shaheen Afridi and Pakistan bowlers with hilarious meme

The Indian cricket team suffered a major batting collapse in the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match and top players like skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer were back in the hut inside ten overs. Shubman Gill was the next to fall at a score of 66 runs in the 15th over, and it looked like Team India would get bundled for a low score. However, wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan and all-rounder Hardik Pandya took the team out of the tough situation by registering a record fifth-wicket partnership in an ODI match against Pakistan.

The Indian cricket team was 66/4 at one stage after the end of 14.1 overs and they had the best chance to wrap up the Indian innings as quickly as possible and chase down the given target to win the match. However, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya turned up to be the rescuers for the Indian team and took the team's score from 66/4 to 204/4. Both the batsmen played innings of 82 and 87 runs each and missed out on well-deserved hundreds.

Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer was quick to react to the situation and praised Ishan Kishan's knock by taking a funny dig at the Pakistani pace attack. Jaffer wrote, "Ishan Kishan vs Pak bowlers today, well played Ishan Kishan." 

Team India takes on Nepal after the clash against Pakistan called off due to rain

The Indian cricket team will now take on Nepal in a must-win match on September 4, 2023. As the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 match was called off due to rain, both the teams shared a point each and Pakistan went through to the Super 4 stage of the multination Asian tournament.
