Pakistan pacer lambasts Inzamam-led selectors and Rashid Latif, fuming PCB to take action
The Pakistan cricket team led by Babar Azam will begin its Asia Cup 2023 campaign against Nepal on August 30, 2023 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Newly appointed PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) chief selector and former Pakistani skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the squad of the Pakistan cricket team for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 as well as the ODI series against Afghanistan. The selection committee made several surprising calls which includes cricketers like Shan Masood, who has been snubbed. On the other hand, the inclusion of the out-of-form all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has also surprised the fans.

Shahnawaz Dahani removed from Pakistan squad for Asia Cup 2023
One of the major names that is missing from the Pakistan squad for the Asia Cup 2023 is of pacer Shahnawaz Dahani. He has been an integral part of the team for the last year but has not played a single international match in 2023. The right-handed pacer didn't feature in the PSL 2023 due to an injury, but he was a key part of the Pakistan A team in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023.
Apart from his five-wicket haul against Nepal in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023, Dahani didn't deliver an impactful performance in the whole tournament and now has been snubbed from the squad for the Asia Cup 2023.

Shahnawaz Dahani slams PCB and Rashid Latif over Asia Cup 2023 snub
Former Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif recently shared some List A stats of several Pakistan bowlers on his official 'X' handle. The list didn't include the name of pacer Shahnawaz Dahani which was not liked by the pacer and highlighted the same by replying to Latif's tweet.

In a deleted reply Dahani wrote, "Seems as if Dahani is not a Pakistan pacer?". However, the fans were quick to take the screengrab of the deleted tweet and shared the same on social media.
In another deleted tweet, Shahnawaz Dahani took on the reporters for not talking about his recent snub from the Pakistan squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Dahani wrote, "Not even single journalist or cricket analyst even dared to ask questions or show these stats to selectors."

As per the reports of the Pakistani media, The Pakistan Cricket Board is not happy with the actions of pacer Shahnawaz Dahani and can soon take action against him. The Pakistani cricket team will play its first match in the Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal at the Multan Cricket Stadium on August 31, 2023.
