Nepal faced Mongolia in an Asian Games 2023 fixture at Hangzhou on Wednesday, 27, 2023. Mongolia won the toss and elected to field first, Nepal displayed a solid innings and managed to score 314 runs at a loss of three wickets in 20 overs having a run rate of 15.70.

During his debut game, Malla broke the record for the quickest century in T20 International (T20I) cricket, outpacing players such as David Miller and Rohit Sharma.

It was a brilliant performance from Kushal Malla at the crease. With the bat, he showed incredible skill when batting at number three. Malla made a century in just 34 balls, demonstrating his explosive start to the game. As the fastest T20I century ever recorded, this century sets a new record in the history of T20 cricket. Before, David Miller and Rohit Sharma shared the record for most centuries in Twenty20 International cricket, each scoring a century in 35 balls. Currently, nevertheless, Kushal Malla of Nepal is the proprietor of the record for the fastest T20I century.
