Steven Smith was in sublime form in recently-concluded Ashes in England as he broke one record after ar and ended up with 774 runs to his name at an impeccable aver of 110.57.

However, Smith didn't have best of starts to home summer as he finished with scores of 0 and 21 versus Queensland at Gabba in Sheffield Shield. But right-handed batsman came back to form as he went on to score a couple of tons against Tasmania and Western Australia on slower tracks of Sydney.

Smith is all set to play Pakistan in a two-match Test series which begins on vember 21 in Brisbane.  first Test of two-match series versus Pakistan is going to be played on a pacy Gabba track. Smith said that he will once again go through rigour of intense training sessions in nets at Allan Border Field.

World 1 Test batsman has played five Tests at Gabba and has scored 575 runs in 9 innings at an impressive aver of 71.88. He has also scored three centuries and one half-century at venue.

last time Pakistan played Australia at Gabba was in 2016 and even n Steve Smith was chief predator as he scored a fantastic ton (130) in first innings and followed it up with a half-century (63) in second. He has also contributed with his fielding as he has grabbed 17 catches at venue which is most by him at a particular ground.

Smith said that he was feeling good and he'd probably just have to try and get used to bounce of wicket again at Gabba. He added that it was a little bit different to last two Shield games he had played at Drummoyne and SCG, where wickets were batting friendly.

right-hander said for him, next few days were about getting used to bounce at Gabba and practising leaving ( ball) well, and just being patient again. He was sure he'd get used to it, and be good to go on Thursday in first Test against Pakistan.
