Australia took on Sri Lanka in second T20I at Gabba on Wednesday. Sri Lankan bowler Lakshan Sandakan attracted all trolls in recently-concluded T20I match between Sri Lanka and Australia. Sandakan missed opportunity to run out Steve Smith but he forgot to touch ball on stump.

incident happened in 13th over of Australian innings when David Warner hit a Lakshan Sandakan delivery straight at stumps. Sandakan collected ball with Smith stranded out of his crease, uprooted stumps but failed to make contact between ball and stumps. Though run-out would have hardly made a difference to result, Sandakan’s glaring error definitely caught netizens' eye.

Earlier Sri Lanka won toss and decided to bat first. Australian bowlers ran through ir batting line up as Sri Lanka folded for a paltry 117. After losing Captain Aaron Finch for a duck, David Warner and Steve Smith made quick work of chase, reaching target with seven overs to spare. Both Smith and Warner scored half-centuries as Australia comprehensively defeated Sri Lanka by 9 wickets. Steve Smith's half-century was his first after 2016 T20 World Cup.

Sri Lanka will w travel to Melbourne for third T20I on Friday, 1st vember. Australia have already wrapped up series after two comprehensive wins in first two games. While Sri Lanka would look to return home with a consolation win, Australia will look to add more misery and complete whitewash.
