Though the run-out would have hardly made a difference to the result, Sandakan’s glaring error definitely caught the netizens' eye.
Aus vs SL: Warner, Smith score half-centuries
Earlier Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. The Australian bowlers ran through their batting line up as Sri Lanka folded for a paltry 117. After losing Captain Aaron Finch for a duck, David Warner and Steve Smith made quick work of the chase, reaching the target with seven overs to spare. Both Smith and Warner scored half-centuries as Australia comprehensively defeated Sri Lanka by 9 wickets. Steve Smith's half-century was his first after the 2016 T20 World Cup.
