Australia's head coach, Justin Langer, has expressed his thoughts on Chris Lynn's exclusion in the T20I side for the upcoming matches against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Earlier this week, Lynn had expressed his disappointment regarding not being selected in the Australian side for the series. Lynn will now primarily be a part of the Prime Minister's XI and also continue to captain Brisbane Heat in the 2019-20 season of the Big Bash League.

Australia: Lynn must dislodge a top-order batsman

Justin Langer spoke about how he and Chris Lynn are 'crystal clear' on the conditions for Lynn to make a comeback into the Aussie limited-overs side. The Australian side has an already well-settled line-up which includes Steve Smith, David Warner, Aaron Finch, and Glenn Maxwell. To make his comeback, Lynn must outperform at least one of these batsmen so that he can replace them in the line-up. Langer emphasised on how Lynn has an opportunity to make an impression in the upcoming PM's XI match along with the Big Bash League. Justin Langer added that all these factors would weigh into Lynn's selection for the 2020 World T20.

Justin Langer: "Lack of Communication in Australian Cricket"

Earlier this week, Lynn had expressed his disappointment about the fact that he was not selected for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Lynn added that he has observed an increasing lack of communication in Australian Cricket which is a problem that other cricketers speak about as well. The player complained that he did not even get a phone call that informed him of not being selected, he only realised it through social media. Chris Lynn clarified that he was not losing sleep over not being selected and his aims lied in performing well in the Big Bash.

Chris Lynn: An amazing batsman with a fascinating talent

Chris Lynn is one of the most explosive limited-overs batsmen in the world. This ability makes him one of the hottest properties in T20 leagues around the world. Lynn has played well for the Brisbane Heat, whom he captains, and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. Lynn, though, has not had a good record during Justin Langer's stint as the head coach. His statistics have not been impressive and that is the reason he will need to raise his numbers in order to gain selection.
