Australia brushed aside Sri Lankan challenge as y comprehensively defeated visitors in third T20I at Melbourne on Friday. Set a target of 143, Australia reached target in 18th over thanks to a David Warner half-century. win helped Australia whitewash Sri Lanka in T20I series after winning first two games in Adelaide and Brisbane respectively.

Earlier in day, Sri Lankan keeper-batsman Kusal Perera scored a whirlwind 57 to guide Sri Lanka to a respectable 142/6, after Australian pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson and Pat Cummins picked up two wickets each. Australia got off to a good start with David Warner and captain Aaron Finch punishing Sri Lankan bowlers’ en-route ir 69-run stand. Finch departed for 37, but Warner continued his good run of form with ar half-century, remaining t out at 57 as Australia chased down 143 with 14 balls to spare. Warner became one of few players to score more than 50 runs in all games of a 3-match T20I series.
