After Pakistan's 2023 ODI World Cup debacle, skipper Babar Azam stood down from captaincy in all formats and now will play as a batsman on the upcoming Australia tour. Will Babar Azam's captaincy experience help Pakistan defeat Australia?

Pakistan have begun training for the upcoming Test series against Australia and will play with under a new management. While Shan Masood will be leading the side, the team will travel to the Australian land with a new team director in the name of Mohammad Hafeez. 

The coaching setup has also been changed as Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal have been handed over the responsibility of seam and spin bowling coach respectively. However, it will be very interesting to see if the team will be able to use Babar Azam's captaincy experience as he will now play as a batsman and can also help the captain in making crucial decisions.
