Babar Azam-led Pakistan cricket team arrived in New Zealand on Tuesday, vember 24. two nations are slated to face each or in three T20Is and two Test matches from December 18 till January 7 next year. However, as many as eight Pakistan players tested positive for coronavirus upon ir arrival in New Zealand. On Thursday, December 3, Pakistan captain Babar Azam interacted with board's official social media handles. In video, prolific batsman expressed confidence about ir upcoming New Zealand series going ahe as planned, despite entire Pakistan players COVID-19 fiasco.
Babar Azam ded that players are all backing and supporting each or during ir isolation phase. Pakistan captain mentioned that entire team, including himself, cant train as of w as y are “fully abiding” rules of social distancing protocols. Azam expressed hope that once ir series against New Zealand kicks off, y will all forget about safety restrictions y have been following.
